My client is looking for an experienced Payroller, ideally to start at the beginning of December.

You must have inhouse, indepth payroll knowledge, that you understand how to calulate taxable benefits, and deductions etc.

Outsourced payroll Administrators need not apply.

REMIT & DUTIES

You will be responsible for a monthly payroll of 700 employees and benefits working alongside the Payroll Manager and HR Services Team.

This role will liaise with external clients such as the HMRC and Pension Providers to ensure compliance in all areas. They will provide a timely query resolution service on issues relating to payroll and benefit processing. They will ensure all staff are paid accurately and on time and that all statutory obligations are met. They will provide adequate support and cover to the Payroll Manager.

Duties

Payroll

*
Ensure accurate calculation of various elements of payment types including, bonuses, salary increases, overtime, sick, maternity / paternity pay

*
Thorough checking of monthly payroll reports.

*
Understanding of payroll system to run reports.

*
Ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with conditions of service and recognised procedures. Ensure all statutory requirements are met.

*
Working knowledge of RTI requirements

*
Working knowledge on Auto-Enrolment process

*
Assist in Year End procedures - P60's.

*
Understanding and assisting in P11D process and dealing with employees queries in relation to these

*
Develop a sound knowledge of all company Terms and Conditions of employment, for all categories of staff, to assist with query resolution

*
Assist the Payroll Manager with enquiries from Benefits Agency, Inland Revenue and other statutory bodies.

*
Provide a comprehensive query resolution and advisory service on all aspects of payroll processing.

*
Calculating and processing out of cycle payments and making these payments to employee's when necessary

*
Reconciling and paying pension payments to third party organisation

*
Implementing and checking salary sacrifice schemes as required

Benefits

*
Taking ownership of the monthly running of all benefit processes, ensuring accuracy in all areas.

*
Recommending and implementing changes, where authorised, to improve company Benefits at the point of renewal.

*
Recommending and implementing changes to improve the administration of the benefits scheme.

*
To maintain compliance in all areas of the scheme and remain up to date on legislation.

*
Reporting to the appointed providers on starters and leavers.

*
Respond in a timely manner to employee questions regarding any benefit coverage via telephone and/or email and assist and advise employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changes.

*
Process Life style events for employees with changes during the year

*
Notify management of any strange scenarios, possible compliance concerns or recurring issues

*
Co-ordinate the Director approval process for Holiday purchase scheme and cycle and computer scheme

*
Manage implementation and adjustments made to Service Recognition Scheme with support from HR Shared Services

*
Reconcile invoices for every benefit provided on a monthly and annual basis

*
Run Process Manager monthly from Darwin and reconcile data

*
Work with Marketing to carry out all benefit communication throughout the organisation

*
Report on statistics for use and take up of benefits

*
Act as a liaison between third-party benefit providers and employees

Experience

*
Minimum 3 years experience in administrating a monthly salaried payroll of c. 500 employees ideally in 'in house. payroll compared to bureau experience

*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

*
Good organisational and time management skills with experience of working to tight deadlines

*
Ability to manage confidential information

*
High proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office

*
Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations

*
Experience of processing a Flexible Benefits scheme

*
Experience of running Salary Sacrifice Schemes
