The People transformation programme will include a significant investment on new-age and high quality HR products that will enrich the experience of our colleagues. We are seeking strong Product Managers (in Core HR, Time & Attendance and Payroll areas), skilled analysts and specialists (Data, Integration, User experience etc.) to lead this high-profile change. The Product team (People Function) will work closely with the Technology and central People teams, business users and vendors to design & deploy future solutions in this space. The programme provides an opportunity to define the digital products journey for the Tesco People function. It is high impact and offers exposure to senior stakeholders within Tesco, combined with the opportunity to deliver significant benefits to the business. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills and structured thinking required to understand root causes of issues, ability to design efficient solutions & a passion to deliver positive change on the ground. The Role The Product Analyst - Payroll is a part of the core transformation programme team and is responsible to deliver the 'best-in-class' end user experience of the Payroll module in the new HR system. The remit includes working with the Payroll Product Owners to configure the Payroll components of the end to end system for our UK colleagues. The Analyst will work closely with product managers, vendor partners and business owners to deliver an effective and best in class payroll product, from concept through to implementation working within the Tesco guidelines. In addition, the role provides the opportunity to work on the new HR SaaS based solutions. The work is high-profile and offers exposure to various teams, vendors and senior members within Tesco, combined with the opportunity to deliver significant benefits to the business. The programme provides an excellent platform to learn and grow, wherein various teams across Tesco business and technology work together to achieve a common goal. Main Responsibilities Identifying the relevant customer and colleague team to gather requirements and user storiesInterview customers to discuss their future product requirementsCapture and document the AS IS process and product design principlesConsult with the Product manager to understand the strategy and provide or suggest solutionsPlaying an integral part of the process through the full product life-cycleAssist product manager in landing change through user acceptance testing, managing business change activity, return on investment and measuring effectiveness of change against KPI'sDeveloping product and analytical skills by working alongside vendors and developersAssist Product managers through the due diligence processWorking across different functions to understand the impacts of product releasesFollowing our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligenceWork closely with Engineering team, Finance, vendors, Tesco People teamsDocument & configure relevant pay rules in the new designUnderstand linkages between different components of the end to end Core HR, T&A and Payroll systemKeep abreast of new PY regulations in UKAct as the payroll subject matter expertDocument key design decisions, risk & issues related to the Payroll design Ideal Candidate Experience of working in medium and large ProjectsWorking across functions and 3rd partiesShould have or be familiar with UK Payroll and PAYE conceptsShould have experience with HR systems or ERPAble to demonstrate flexibility and breadth.Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skillsHaving strong attention to detail even for small requirementsIndustry knowledge of user experience design principles and methodologiesBackground in capturing requirements and user acceptance testingKey leadership skills relevant for this job include: customer focus, stakeholder engagement, analysis & decision making, influencing & negotiating, effective communication skills and developing self & othersOther operational skills relevant for this job include: product management, document writing and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio)
