Job Purpose

Defines the strategy and leads a team of Resourcing Managers, to meet the resourcing needs of the designated business area, ensuring that appropriate sourcing channels are in place and covering all hire types and candidate channels including experienced hire, graduate, and internal mobility.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide a proactive, highly responsive level of service for both internal and external resourcing needs to all customer business areas for which you and your team are responsible
  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners and invest time to understand the customer requirements and profiles needed to meet business growth objectives and demand levels
  • Apply leading edge Recruitment thinking, creative networking and direct sourcing strategies across diverse business environments and working within a budget, develop a cost effective mix of smart sourcing channels for client campaigns
  • Manage the development of external competitor intelligence, monitor external marketplace trends and new technology, adjusting sourcing strategies as needed to ensure the continued ability to hire top talent to grow our business
  • Analyse the effectiveness of current resourcing strategies, discover ways to make future ones more efficient and continually innovate the service offering
  • Develop business measurement tools and use business metrics to measure/evaluate resourcing effectiveness including a focus on both cost and time to hire
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers to agreed SLA's including the candidate sourcing and advertising agencies for which you are accountable
  • Provide strategic insight, analysis and commentary on regular management information reports to key senior stakeholders
  • Provide leadership, strong performance management and ongoing development to a team of resourcing managers to create a Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence
  • Represent the BA Brand and provide direction on promoting the company's image in the marketplace.
  • Champion compliance with Resourcing standards, processes and policies and with relevant legislation

The Individual

Essential Experience

  • Significant recruitment experience in a blue chip organisation, hiring at both volume and senior professional levels
  • Extensive experience working with Senior Business leadership and stakeholders to drive and shape sourcing strategy
  • Extensive experience in identifying, developing and optimising recruitment sourcing channels including job boards, online advertising, press, social media, events and networking across a range of professions and industry sectors
  • Strong knowledge of external market by geography, business performance and our competitive position in comparison to other recruiters
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting performance measurement and target metrics
  • Supplier management experience particularly related to 3rd party suppliers including recruitment agencies and advertisers
  • Good understanding of geographic specific culture issues, employment laws as relevant to recruitment and of executive compensation and benefit
  • People development, coaching and leadership/teambuilding experience

Capabilities Essential

  • Highly driven, self-motivated and able to work as part of a growing team
  • Strong delivery focus with the ability to work under pressure, and to defined timescales
  • Financial and commercial awareness with the ability to convert financial affordability plans into recruiting plans
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • IT literate with knowledge of Recruitment Management Systems
  • Understanding and knowledge of psychometric/assessment tools
  • Willing to undertake occasional travel to BA's UK and world wide offices

Qualifications 

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • An MBA, CIPD or MA qualification would be advantageous
