Regional HR Business Manager Fantastic Iconic Retail Brand 35-45k plus Car Allowance, excellent benefits including 50% staff discount. The Company Established in 1983, this specialist retailer is looking to recruit a HR Business Manager to cover approximately 60 shops (two areas) across the South of England. With nearly 300 stores across the UK & Europe they are the true market leaders in what they do and have a formidable reputation for delivering great customer service, expertise and knowledge. During the past few years the company has had to look at expanding its offer and is looking at continually improving its non-book offer as well as introducing its own brand cafes across the business. The Role To purpose of the role is to work closely with the key business stakeholders to provide a commercial, brand aligned HR strategy, providing a true generalist HR service and supporting the HR team to deliver across a number of key initiatives. This would suit an experienced HR Advisor looking to move into a field based business partnering role. Key Duties Build key relationships with Retail Managers, Cluster Leaders and Bookshop Managers by being visible across the shops and gain a fast understanding of the complexities of the Waterstones operation.Act as a point of contact across the two areas, advising on all Employee Relations issues, company policies and procedures.Support investigation, disciplinary and grievance hearings including the management of the necessary paperwork throughout the process and challenge where appropriate.Coach individual managers and carry out training sessions, where required, with all managers on HR related issues, including reviews, absence management and managing individual performance and behaviour, in particular to up-skill the managers to be able to carry out difficult conversations.To create a development plan for all new managers to ensure they are equipped to deal with any issues they could face.Oversee the development of all booksellers in order to identify talent and succession plan accordinglyManage long term sickness to a successful resolution.Support in the recruitment of key roles across the areasWork collaboratively across the entire HR team, sharing knowledge to ensure a consistent approach across the company.Work across a number of areas to support the delivery of key projects. The Ideal Candidate It is essential that you are able to demonstrate previous experience of the following: Working in a multi-site environment preferably within a fast paced retail businessStrong ER exposure particularly dealing with investigation and disciplinary issuesDelivery of a performance management processGood understanding of procedures and policiesCoaching and Training experience to deliver bespoke training to all levels of managementAbility to build key relationships - to be able to advise and challenge at all levels.Excellent leadership and influencing skillsResilience to deal with an ever changing business.Successfully managing projects and leading the delivery of new initiatives.
