The Background:

Reporting directly to the Global Mobility Manager this Senior Advisor role encompasses full operation and policy development and implementation for this company's Global Mobility function. Through expansion into new markets this company require an experienced Global Mobility professional to work at a senior level to ensure their Mobility Function is delivered in line in 6 global regions within EMEA, APAC and The Americas.


The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Mobility Manager, this role's primary accountabilities are as follows:

Advise other areas within the business on correct application of policy and provide advice and guidance on the correct selection of the appropriate policy type for the employee move.

Work with the outsourced relocation services provider and the business on all aspects of assignee case management including: review and approval of assignment initiations from HR, review of assignment documentation issued by outsourced provider to ensure accuracy before being released to the business, review and oversight of all payroll actions to ensure accuracy, managing and responding to assignee, business and third party provider queries with escalation to the Regional Mobility Manager as necessary.

Maintaining and strengthening the relationship with the outsourced relocation services provider and other vendors.

Working closely with the Mobility Administrators to ensure appropriate planning and effective execution of administrative support activities.

Working with all key stakeholders to ensure Global Mobility service delivery in line with policy and effectively delivered to clients in this region.

Provide support to the Regional Mobility Manager as directed, including assistance with project related work e.g. providing analytical support.

Make ongoing recommendations to implement the Global Mobility Improvement Process, develop tools and suggest process improvements to drive efficient process delivery.


The Person:

The ideal candidate must have experience working within a global mobility function and have had exposure to the issues and complexities of mobilising a global workforce.

Must have strong relevant industry experience and a proven track record in providing a high quality and seamless global mobility service in a matrix organisation.

Demonstrated experience in the provision of in-house service delivery for a large expatriate population, preferably in a large multi-national organisation or consulting firm.

Proven ability to influence peers and other senior stakeholders.

Strong project management and change management skills.

Familiarity and/or experience with outsourced global mobility service delivery models.

Whilst having a good understanding of global mobility, the candidate must also be able to contribute to the broader HR agenda.
