I am seeking to recruit for a large public sector organisation currently based in Banstead and moving to Crawley in May 2017. The position is initially a 6 month contract for an experienced HR Advisor. The salary offered is upto 35,000 and includes great public sector benefits. I have attached the details of the role and requirements, please do let me know if you are interested.. To provide recommendations to support the business objectives of the organisation with regard to HR related issues. . To advise managers and staff on the interpretation and application of terms and conditions of service and contractual issues. . To develop and promote good relationships and partnership working with local staff side representatives to promote a constructive partnership working culture and constructive resolution to staffing issues. . To advise and support managers on appropriate action to take on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence issues with minimal supervision, in line with Trust policies and procedures. Where managers are new to this area, providing hands on support and advice and training to help up-skill the managers. . To attend informal/formal meetings/hearings as necessary and advise on management reports and correspondence in accordance with Trust procedures. . To advise and support managers in the conduct of investigations including grievance, discipline, bullying and harassment. . To assess options, advise and support managers in the preparation of case information for presentation at disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance hearings/appeals. . To assist in the presentation of cases up to and including dismissal and attend appeals and employment tribunals as and when necessary. . Facilitate consistent application of the Trust's Sickness Absence Management policy; ensuring managers are competent in using the policy by providing active support and running training sessions in the interpretation and application of the policy. . Analyse sickness reports and highlight cases where staff have met a trigger point for sickness absence requiring review. Share this information with the managers concerned and be proactive in encouraging managers to set up review meetings, (or other meetings as required), to meet with the staff concerned. . Produce and monitor monthly ER related statistics, including absence and interpret information, identify problem areas, and work with managers to address them. . Ensure that exit questionnaires and interviews are conducted and effective statistics produced and analysed for potential problem areas. . Contribute to the recruitment and selection process in the Trust, participating in the shortlisting of candidates and sitting as a HR representative on interview panels. . Review with others, the need for improvements in specific areas of Human Resources policies as they affect service delivery. Contribute to their development and implementation. . Maintain a thorough knowledge of employment law and changing working practices, anticipate and react to implications for Trust. . Take responsibility for own learning and development and keep up-to-date on all employment relates issues and legislation. . Participate on the HR Advisor Rota, giving presentations and induction sessions to new recruits. . Provide advice and support in respect of Job evaluation and Job redesign. . Identify and report Risk Issues in regards to HR and people management practices. . Undertake any ad hoc projects as identified by the Head of Operations Manager - CIPD qualified or working towards MCIPD professional qualification or other relevant HR qualifications/experience - Graduate or equivalent level of knowledge and experience - Full UK driving licence - Experience Significant operational experience at an HR advisory level providing- Experience of handling grievance and disciplinary, performance management and sickness absence issues.- Delivery of policy/procedure related training courses - Experience of developing, writing and implementing employment related policies and procedures. - Significant experience of working in a busy HR environment with your own case load and be able to the manage conflicting demands - Experience of involvement in change management programmes. - Working in a complex, unionised organisation. - Proven experience of providing accurate and appropriate management information. - - Understanding of the legislative framework- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective individual, team and stakeholder working relationships- Excellent communications skills that influence and persuade inspiring trust and confidence.
