This Senior HR Advisor needs to be able to withstand challenge from Managers and to have the presence of mind and strong character to deal with this Senior HR Advisor Must be able to discuss and implement strategies in order decrease agency use. Senior HR Advisor To manage the provision and development of an efficient and effective service across the Human Resources operational service area. The Senior Human Resources Officer is a high level generalist role that will lead high level projects including casework, change management, and policy development. The focus of this role will be to drive down agency usage and explore alternatives available in this regard. The post will report to a Human Resources Consultant and will require highly motivated human resources professional with demonstrable experience of designing and delivering effective human resources initiatives. Senior HR Advisor will be able to work independently with senior managers across the council to enable the Council to deliver its priorities and ensure staff work to their highest potential. You will need to have a strong presence, and be able to think of creative solutions to assist the Council in achieving its aims. Your focus will be the delivery of the Council's recruitment and retention strategy but will also be involved in other human resources projects such as high level casework (including appeals against dismissal), delivering the Council's change management programme and engaging with key stakeholders over policy development and introduction. To be successful in the role you will be an organised and confident individual who is CIPD qualified and able to demonstrate evidence of having worked successfully at band 2 of the CIPD Professional Map with evidence of continuous professional development. To be a lead practitioner on complex casework, change management and policy development within the Human Resources remit. Including agency staff
