Workshop Trainer, Education and Training ERDF Ware, Herts Salary circa 27k Our Client provides business advice, guidance and training to pre-start, start-up and established business clients across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. They are seeking to recruit a Workshop Trainer. The role will directly support the Company's aim to deliver a start-up service across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire as part of an ERDF funded project. The programme will focus on entrepreneurs becoming enterprise ready across the region through various channels such as one to one advisory sessions and workshops. Reporting to the Head of Education and Training and it will be based in Ware, Herts. General Requirements: To work within the policies and objectives set you by the organisation aimed at aiding economic regeneration across Hertfordshire.To cultivate open and productive relationships with people from all levels involved with the Company's activities. Workshop Responsibilities: To prepare and deliver business workshops or seminars, particularly the Company's own training modules and the Education programmesTo organise and run other workshops or promotional events as agreed.To support the Training and Education Department by promoting and selling Company programmes to new / existing Schools, Colleges, Universities, Social Enterprises and others.To develop a close understanding of key issues in Enterprise and Education.To identify and explore training opportunities to maximise the Training and Education Department's potential within the education sector.To play an active role in developing and implementing changes to the programmes and identifying areas where programmes can be improved or expanded.To ensure all work is delivered within its agreed financial budget.To help with income generation looking at all training opportunities and new businessDevelop new programmes in line with the needs and objectives of the departmentEnsure all materials are appropriate for the audience and of a high qualityHelp promote all training via social media, business networks etc Business Relationships: Maintain relationships with existing Schools, Colleges, Universities, Social Enterprises, Businesses and others.Develop new relationships and possible mutual partnerships with targeted Schools, Colleges, Universities, Social Enterprises, Businesses and others. Other Responsibilities: To meet and maintain all standards of quality as may be required contractually by the Company in delivering their business and education training programmes.To attend and contribute to the various department meetings and to be involved in other Company activities as agreed with the Head of Education and Training.To promote the Education section of the company website relevant and up to date and promote the site externally.Work with the Marketing team to create a strategy to boost exposure of the Training and Education Department's business and education programmes in relevant sectors.Undertake regular CPD to keep abreast of changes in the areas of Enterprise, Education and Enterprise Education.Provide regular updates on Training and Education Department activities through the Company Intranet.To support the Business Advisor in delivering advice to clientsTo help support, advise and encourage businesses to improve environmental performance and resource efficiencyTo monitor and collate evidence of outcomes/ outputs required from the ERDF projectTo ensure that any required information is accurately input into the Company ACT database and is kept up to dateTo meet all responsibilities under the Data Protection ActTo undertake any specific training to support and improve individual job performance Key Skills Creativity, forward thinking and confidence are essential skills in this role.Candidates must have the confidence to present at workshops, seminars and at meetingsCandidates will need to be comfortable working both as part of a close-knit team and autonomouslyCandidates will be required to keep up to date with developments within the Business and Education sector and to be able to speak knowledgeably about new initiativesExcellent written and spoken communication skillsCommitment to a social enterprise that is driven by a social purposeConfident and effective presentation skillsCandidates must be well organized with excellent administrative skills Interview Process Closing date for applications is Wednesday, 30 November 2016 Interviews will take place week commencing Monday, 5 December As part of the interview process short-listed applicants will be required to prepare a presentation to deliver to the interview panel.
