Job Description

Our client, a leading professional services organisation are looking to double the size of their Eastern European over the next three years. Therefore, the Human Resources function is looking for HR practitioner with experience in Shared Services who can set up a shared service function to ensure best practice operating structures and human capital management systems are in place so that the organisation is “Fit for the Future” and can successfully manage larger volumes and greater complexity.

This role requires someone with deep functional operational and HR generalist expertise with a flair for project management and experience of change management and as this role is seen as being the natural successor to the HR Leader, the ideal candidate would be a Russian national and/or currently working in the Russian market.

They will support the HR Leader in shaping strategy and developing the Human Capital function, drive changes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency, and will be accountable for putting in place plans to provide best practice human capital systems and procedures which are able to support and enable the growth of the organisation. They should have extensive experience and understanding of the labour code, the labour book and the demands of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the employment of individuals in the Russian market. Additionally they will be accountable to the Human Capital Leader for the People elements of the organisation's Licence to Operate, ensuring Risk Plans are developed and delivered so that the organisation mitigates against all people risks. This individual is expected to have a strong, operational, hands on role in driving forward the Human Capital function and to act as project-lead for Russia in key regional CEE initiatives as well as territorially-specific ones, such as Ethics & Diversity and Corporate Responsibility .

They will also be responsible for the Employee Services function, leading a team of eleven and working closely with human capital generalist professionals within the various service lines, as well as the specialist human capital professionals in Resourcing and Learning & Development, to develop best practice, efficiency and service excellence.

They need to have the charisma and experience to create a following among the Human Capital professionals embedded within each of the service lines, who will not directly report to them but over whom they will have significant influence. They will need to change core processes and procedures throughout the HC organisation with a team that has historically been decentralised and unused to the working requirements of a matrix structure. This person will be an agent of change and a key influencer.
