Job Description

The Human Resources department of one of the city's largest and most stable Investment Banks is currently reviewing their transactional processes. As part of the review there is focus on operation control processes and a dedicated team is working to streamline and monitor operational controls.

A control officer is required to work within the team and take on the following responsibilities:

• Ownership and maintenance of the vault of personnel files looking at current systems and processes and suggesting/implementing changes where necessary to ensure procedures are adhered to and audit/compliance are taken into account.

• Ensuring incomplete files are completed, archiving/filing and overall maintenance/control of the vault including control and monitoring of signing in/out procedures.

• Cross checking joiners/leavers/new joiner's payroll spreadsheets against vault spreadsheet and ensuring that all files are in the correct section of the vault.

• Work on a Retention Project working with the Compliance and Risk team regarding retention of information in personnel files in the vault.

• Working on file completion with the transaction team to ensure all files are "complete" and liasing with individuals and outside agencies to ensure the correct documentation is held on file.

This role would be suitable for someone familiar with working in a structured environment dealing with controls and has had exposure to controls and compliance within an HR environment.
