As part of a small team within the I.T. department, the Senior Technical Systems Administrator would take a leading role in providing support for all of Tarmac's business critical systems, with particular focus on the Microsoft based systems.
The main areas of responsibility are:
- Ensuring application availability is within SLA requirements through day to day management and monitoring
- Be technical lead for systems based on Microsoft products including Sharepoint, Biztalk, SQL Server and all SQL based applications
- Day to day management of all Microsoft based services provided by outsourced provider such as Exchange
- Regularly review and report on I.T. technologies and their relevance to Tarmac systems, with particular bias on Microsoft and Intel based technologies
- Produce and maintain documentation, together with other relevant resources, to support Data Centre processes
The ideal candidate will have been working in a technical IT role for a minimum of five years, with two years working with SQL, Sharepoint and Biztalk. SAP Basis experience would be a bonus. The candidate must have a proven track record in evaluating new technologies and working closely with the business in understanding system requirement.
Previous experience of working with Sequel DBA and other Microsoft Databases is essential.
