Job Description

Following a restructure of the department, my clientis looking for a HR Officer to join the team. The successful candidatewill provide an efficient and effective HR service to the stores in the North across employee relations, resourcing, HR administration and performance management.
As HR Officer you role will be:
To provide advice and guidance to line managers and staff and to produce HR correspondence to ensure legal compliance
To act as witness in disciplinary, grievance hearings and home visits
To monitor absence and advise line managers on action to be taken
To manage the retirement process
To support resourcing - screening, interviewing and associated paperwork
To monitor risk assessments for pregnant employees and return to work following maternity leave
To manage the process for checking employees are eligible to work in the UK
To produce reports to inform business decisions including monthly GEM reports
To conduct exit interviews as required
To manage the probation process
To manage the reference process for new starters and investigate poor referenc Ideally CIPD qualified, though part qualified or studying towards will be considered
Substantial Employee Relations and recruitment experience
The ability to influence others, especially over the telephone, is an essential skill
Driving licence is required as you may be required to travel.
