The Background:
An excellent in-house opportunity has just arisen within this leading global services organisation. Reporting directly to the European HR Director you will be the stand-alone contact for all local HR requirements in Germany.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Maintenance and collation of employment information
Provide monthly statistical reports to management team
Assist the European HR Director with the implementation of HR initiatives in line with business goals
Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems
Advising local Managers of polices and procedures developed in conjunction with European HR Director
Notifying European HR Director of any local law changes that may impact pan-European policies
Develop local policies and procedures that are aligned with European HR initiatives, where necessary
Assist the European HR Director in change management projects
Ensure relevant performance management documentation is completed and filled in a timely manner
Participate in training programme, delivering training in accordance with identified need (from appraisal and recommendation by line manager) and personal expertise
Assist local management in identification of high and low performers and ensure development plan is implemented.
Liaise closely with Line Managers in order to determine recruitment requirements and take appropriate action for recruitment and selection of staff
Evaluate methods of recruitment and selection and recommend most cost effective methods
Benchmark local compensation in order to aid retention of staff
Promote high performance culture, emphasising empowerment, quality and productivity
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a generalist HR department. You will be well organised, a strong communicator and possess good interpersonal skills. Candidates must have fluent German and English language skills. This is a stand-alone role so candidates must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
