Job Description

Our client is an international full-service legal practice with offices in London and across Europe and Asia. They are looking for a highly professional HR Administrator to join their team in their prestigious offices in The City of London. Our client advises major corporations, financial institutions and governments and they are acknowledged as being in the top tier in each of their main areas of work: transactions, disputes and projects. Main Duties of the HR Assistant: General Recruitment Administration Assist the HR Manager & Senior HR Adviser with recruitment co-ordination e.g. interview organisation, liaise with agencies/candidates re: start dates etc.; Prepare recruitment correspondence e.g. offer letters; Manage all internal processes associated with recruitment e.g. update recruitment database as required, send out correspondence to unsuccessful candidates, process invoices include the reimbursement of candidates interview expenses, archive files etc; Liaise directly with partners, secretaries and agencies to arrange interview times and make the necessary arrangements for interviews (eg arranging video conference facilities, preparing and sending papers to partners); New joiners Administration Produce offer of employment packs; Liaise with HR Manager/Senior HR Adviser and line managers about start dates; Deal with any queries raised by new joiners; Day to Day General HR Administration Provide administrative support to all members of the HR team, across all areas of the generalist function including recruitment and employee relations administration; Manage queries by telephone and email Deal with general correspondence; Arrange meetings on request, including booking rooms, arranging catering and equipment; Assist with the review of processes and procedures and recommend improvements; Deal with contract administration ie extension of fixed term contracts, probationary periods, variation of contract, temporary to permanent; Deal with appraisal administration ie liaise with team leaders, record and monitor completion of appraisals, update spreadsheets etc; Deal with general benefit queries regarding pensions, gym membership and healthcare; Where necessary assist the international HR team with administration relating to international and client secondments Support ad hoc projects and any other duties as required. PERSON SPECIFICATION A well-organised and experienced administrator who is proactive, confident and likes to use own initiative to learn and develop own skills. Someone who is looking to take on additional responsibilities and manage key projects in addition to their basic role. Will be flexible and able to work well as part of a hardworking team. Candidates will preferably come from a professional services or blue chip back-ground and have experience of working as a HR Administrator.
