The Department
The HR team comprises of teams of specialists and generalists. The team works with the business in delivering a high level of support across all aspects of the company. The team supports the day to day operational aspects of the business as well as getting involved in more strategic projects and prides itself on the relationships and influence it has developed across the business at all levels.

Overview of the role
This role will deliver HR support to both employees and management by helping to ensure we have the right structure, people, process and culture in place. This role has a diverse range of generalist HR responsibilities, handling day to day operational queries/issues and administration, and will predominately focus on working with the Listed Assets business area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Work with and provide general support to the HR team as and when required Advise and assist managers in organisational re-structures Assist in the completion of salary surveys, benchmarking, job matching and annual data cleanse exercises Assist in the pay/bonus review process Advise employees on ad hoc queries Assist the Recruitment Manager with recruitment at a junior/middle management level across the business Assist with the implementation of new HR programmes/initiatives Advise and assist managers to investigate and/or conduct disciplinaries and grievances, if necessary Assist managers in dealing with both long term sickness absence and persistent short-term sickness absence Supervise the HR Administrator to ensure all Listed Assets HR administration is performed in an accurate and timely manner Draft general HR correspondence - e.g.: Contracts, disciplinary letters |

Technical Skills & Qualifications Required Degree level or equivalent Gained or studying for the CIPD A minimum of 3 years experience working in an HR environment, dealing directly with managers on a wide variety of HR issues Understanding and knowledge of HR practices and employment law is essential Initiative Previous experience of interviewing at a junior and middle management level Previous experience of dealing with disciplinaries/grievances Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken Previous experience of utilizing HR information systems Excel/Word/PowerPoint - at least to intermediate level Previous experience of working in the Financial Services industry would be an advantage (although not essential)
