Job Number: J1070 Job Title: HR Administrator / HR Officer Salary: £18,000 - 22,000 p.a. 12 month Fixed Term Contract with a strong possibility of (phone number removed) being made permanent longer term. Location: Glascoed, Usk Our client is a FTSE 100 company and a leader in aerospace and defence. We are looking for an HR Administrator or HR Officer with 12 months HR grounding to join the business to support and work closely with the HR Manager who advises c. 900 employees across the UK. This role will be based close to Newport, South Wales. This is a great role for a candidate with some HR grounding to really develop their experience and grow their practical knowledge of HR, providing a good platform for career development in the medium term. The role involves administration and support activities initially, such as setting up and developing absence reporting, taking notes in disciplinary hearings and managing recruitment administration. However, for the right candidate, this role will grow to provide generalist HR advice to a variety of client groups. Key Responsibilities To provide general HR administration support to the HR Manager To manage Employee Data and prepare HR Management Information as needed Maintain sickness reporting for employees, devising systems/processes as required To support the recruitment process writing to applicants, managing application process etc Taking notes during disciplinary processes Knowledge, Skills and Experience Preferably educated to degree standard with at least 6-12 months previous HR administration experience Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards the CIPD qualification Good IT literacy (especially Excel) Excellent communication skills, resilient and organised Excellent attention to detail Ability to re-prioritise tasks due to constantly changing demands and volume workload Good team player, positive and self-motivated approach Ambitious - a candidate with a genuine desire to develop a career in HR this is very much a role where you'll be supported to develop and given opportunities to learn
