Interim HR Advisor required for a period of 6 months to manage the operational running of the HR function. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to management on ER issues, including disciplinaries and grievances and absence management. You will also be involved in management reporting / analysis and take responsibility for 5 members of staff (customer services and reception), predominantly being accountable for documenting any illness and authorising annual leave. There will also be an element of training and development involved. You will have prior experience of providing an operational HR service within a distribution, logistics or manufacturing background. You will also have previous involvement in disciplinaries and grievances. You will be resilient and confident with a pragmatic approach to work. You will also be immediately available or on a week's notice period. My client is a small organisation with approximately 100 members of staff who distribute products within the music industry. The site will be closing down in March 2009 and they are really looking for someone to keep the HR function 'ticking over' until then. There will be a retention bonus of £3000 paid at the end of term and my client is willing to consider applicants on either a full or part-time basis.Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based HR experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
