It’s an exciting time for the HR Team. They are in the process of implementing a new HR management system which includes the development of a brand new payroll system. The system is due to launch in April 2009 and as a result they have a great opportunity for an aspiring payroll professional to join their team to work with them until the ‘go live’ date.
As part of the role, you’ll gain experience of their existing and new payroll systems providing great exposure for someone looking to progress their career within a payroll function and develop their knowledge of HR systems.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for data entry, including checking information and inputting data at speed, so excellent attention to detail and an efficient way of working are key. You’ll work closely with payroll colleagues, the wider HR Team and contacts across the business and you will need to demonstrate a customer focused approach and great team working skills. Finally, a professional telephone manner and a sensitive approach to working with confidential information are essential.
You will be educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of numeracy and written English. IT literacy is essential with experience of working with systems / databases. Some previous experience of working in a payroll function would be advantageous but for the right candidate we are willing to provide full training and support.
