As Change and Programme Manager you will play a pivotal role in positioning this professional services organisation for growth in 2009 and beyond. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage a team of Project Managers and seconded business support; take on a programme delivery management role as well as managing a portfolio of projects.
Key Accountabilities
Developing the Programme – The Change Manager will be responsible for initiating and developing key projects (across key business areas of HR, Operations, Finance, IT) within the programme to ensure the programme and individual project components have strategic fit with overall business growth strategy. The focus in 2008 will be on business transformation. 2009 Programme activities are expected to be focused on transformation and growth initiatives.
Delivering the Programme – The Change Manager will work with stakeholders to ensure that the implementation of individual projects are delivered successfully and meet targets and outcomes within the programme and are delivered on time and within budget.
Monitoring Delivery – Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Change Manager will monitor progress of delivery, ensure adequate resources are in place to achieve delivery and appraise the risks around implementation.
The Candidate
• Track record of successful project and programme management; designing, leading, developing, delivering change and quantifiable benefit in significant multi-disciplinary business improvement programmes is essential
• A knowledge and understanding of the development and project delivery processes and the variety of roles of development professionals within these processes
• Evidence of motivating individuals/teams and brokering collaborative working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, building partnerships across the business and the project
• Evidence of managing a variety of contractual arrangements
• Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a performance driven environment and consistently achieve output and outcome targets
• Experience of the Legal sector would be beneficial
Qualifications
• Project management qualification e.g. Prince practitioner level desirable
• Knowledge of Lean methodology highly desirable
