The Background

Market leading publishing organisation with a reputation for an innovative service is currently seeking to recruit a reward professional to assist in the development, coordination and management of overall compensation and benefits frameworks across the organisation.

The Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of HR Policy and Reward, the successful professional will be responsible for providing a broad range of analytical support for the on-going development and implementation of the compensation programme, including salary structures, merit pay and bonus schemes. You will conduct market analysis, e.g., external benchmarking through salary surveys, etc., and offer compensation recommendations to ensure competitive pay and retention of key staff.

Benefits responsibilities will comprise of managing income protection claims, assisting with the management of benefit renewals, including data preparation required to support decisions around this area and assisting in the integration of benefit programmes in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

Other rewards and benefits projects and day-to-day issues will help to comprise this exciting opportunity.

The Professional

You will be an experienced compensation and benefits professional, educated to degree level or equivalent with preferably a full or part CIPD qualification. You will have strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate volumes of data into concise, meaningful reports. You will have a high level of proficiency with MS Excel and HR Information Systems with an excellent customer focussed attitude.
