Job Description

Due to Company growth and expansion, a role has been created within this small but busy HR/Comps & Bens Dept.

 

About you:

You will need to be of a methodical, hands-on and reactive nature and able to communicate directly with senior management peers confidently.

 

With the Company being part of three other organisations you will be assisting the Payroll officer in the preparation of payroll across the three businesses which equates to approx 260 staff. Therefore you will have prior payroll experience with a clear understanding on the double entry process beyond.

 

About the role:

·         Assist the HR Officer (Payroll) with monthly payroll preparation both input & output documentation

·         Process staff expense claims on a fortnightly basis

·         Deal with staff payroll queries, resolving as able

·         Prepare invoices for processing by Accounts Payable teams

·         Assist the HR Officer (Admin) with the processing of new joiners, including screening reports, new hire documentation, advising benefit carriers & collating responses

·         Assist the HR Officer (Admin) with the processing of staff leavers

·         Maintain computerised holiday records

·         Undertake Dept filing

 

Experience required:

Requires computerised payroll experience, incorporating input, HMRC liaison/returns, preparation of appropriate Journal entries and other related accounting issues. Some familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley payroll control requirements would be helpful, but not essential.

 

Knowledge of HMRC rules concerning expense reimbursement would be highly desirable  as would exposure to invoice preparation and expense processing.
