This large government change programme requires support for a reward transition and policy development, providing advisory service on reward and strategy and some union negotiations.
This role will support stakeholder negotiations in preparation for annual salary negotiations including developing costed options, develop processes to ensure the agreement is implemented accurately and quickly. You will also be responsible for developing arrangements to encourage staff to move across to new pay schemes, ensuring equal pay to conduct full impact analysis of equal pay issues and propose changes and transitional arrangements. Advise other HR staff on issues that have a pay and reward implication. Develop employee consultation structures and embed within the organisation. This role will help develop key business policy relating to HR strategy, pay & reward as the organisation changes taking into account key areas of concern such as policy and processes.
To be successful in this role you must have a sound working knowledge of reward policies, practices and procedures within all sectors with emphasis on the civil service including a good understanding of the civil service pension scheme. A good understanding of best practice job evaluation methodology and a robust knowledge of employment law with excellent communication skills is essential. Knowledge of business re-engineering process and project management skills is important. You will only be considered for this role is you hold a current security clearance.
