Job Description
An urgent requirement had become available for an experience Compensation and Benefits Manager to join one of the largest international banking networks, with a presence in over 85 countries. The organisation is an international financial services group, with in excess of 150,000 staff with solid roots in Europe, a significant and growing presence in the United States and leading positions in Asia.

The role and requirements:-
International Mobility:
- Management of the International Mobility team (2).
- Responsibility for the management of expatriate tax, social security and immigration aspects for all international assignees into and out of the UK (340 employees).

Compensation:
Responsible for
- ensuring compliance of all incentive compensation to UK regulations.
- the reporting of these plans to HMRC.
- advising business lines and HR groups on tax-efficient structuring of employment contracts, termination payments etc.
- managing relationships with professional advisors

Jointly with current compensation specialist :
- calculation of specific packages for joiners or leavers
- organisation of the external benchmarking with competitors
- management of deferred plans and their vesting
- contribution to the annual compensation review process (advice to HR Generalists, input / quality check of compensation information).

The role will report to the Head of International Mobility and Compensation.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong UK tax background and will be at least ATT qualified.

A proven track record in the management of the expatriate tax aspects of a large internationally mobile population, along with a good working knowledge of incentive compensation plans.

They should possess a deep technical understanding of expatriate tax, social security and the taxation of share based plans.

The successful candidate will also have a track record of working effectively within a challenging and time-pressured environment.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commercial thinker and strong multi-tasker, who is able to work autonomously.
- Good working knowledge of Lotus Notes, Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Access and PeopleSoft is preferable but not essential.
