The Background:
Reporting to the International Assignments Manager the role of Assistant International Assignments Manager will be responsible for providing a top tier service to a dedicated portfolio of international assignees. You will ensure all aspects of the International Assignees life cycle, from posting to repatriation/retirement, are delivered in a 100% accurate, timely and confidential manner. The role will be required to provide a support service to the International Assignment Manager and assist with day-to-day administration and ad-hoc enquiries relating to the International Assignee population.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Establishing relationships with key external service providers and ensuring that appropriate levels of service are provided to the International Assignments team
Supporting the International Assignments Manager in the production and preparation of necessary documents and supporting administration.
Maintaining close communication with the International Assignee, explaining all aspects of the Assignee’s compensation and benefits and responding to personal requests
Liaising with home and host HR & Business functions, external service suppliers, the assignee and their family.
Ensuring full compliance with company standards, tax laws and immigration regulations.
Preparing and issuing assignment letters, costing projections & balance sheets.
Ensuring all Share, Healthcare, Pension (Offshore & Onshore), Social Security, Immigration, Life Insurance/Personal Accident aspects of the assignment are understood, communicated and accurately processed.
The Person:
The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with: international assignments, global mobility and expatriate management issues. Proven background dealing with technical expatriate taxation and compensation issues would be preferred. Finally, the ability to build relationships with and communicate in a clear and confident manner with overseas HR departments and International Assignees would be an added advantage.
