Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Advisor to work with this leading public sector organisation within the North East. As a senior member of your team you must contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective Human Resource function across all areas of the organisation. You will provide a comprehensive advisory service to Senior Managers, Line Managers and supervisory staff, whilst supporting the Senior HR colleagues in the development of a strategic HR service that is in line with the goals and aims of the organisation. You will also have the following responsibilities:
• Ensure that all levels of management comply with the organisations policies and procedures
• Contribute to the development of new and existing HR policies
• Participate in the training programmes covering all aspects of HR
• Dealing with Unions
• Acting as the organisations advocate when required at employment tribunals
• Improving the current HR service provision
• Taking responsibility for project work that may occur during your period of employment
• Managing a small team of HR Officers
Our client is looking for someone that has worked at a Senior HR Advisory level previously with experience in management at both an operational and strategic level. You will have a strong generalist background with a good understanding of Employee Relations issues. You will also possess the following skills and abilities:
• CIPD qualified
• Proven experience in dealing with Trade Unions
• Ability to persuade at senior levels
• Understanding of Employment Legislation
• Highly motivated and a strong team player
Our client is a leading public sector organisation not only in its location but also in its field.
Salary £35-40k pro rata (£150-200/day)
