Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
This is a front-line HR role, within a growing part of their business, providing employee relations and associated HR services to the South West. In addition, you may be asked to manage HR project-work as part of your role.

Take an active role in the delivery and assessment of disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes, giving advice as and when necessary to line management.
Provide an HR advisory service to store and area managers.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on current and proposed employment legislation, ensuring all managers are communicated to regarding implications to the business.
Liaise as appropriate with the HR Manager and Employee Relations Manager to ensure a consistent application of policy and procedure.
Take responsibility for leading and managing various HR projects as required.
Experience of having worked in a Retail organisation previously.
Thorough knowledge of the practical application of Employee Relations policies and procedures .
Demonstrable knowledge of Employee Relations policies, procedures and related legislation
Proven ability to challenge line management view where appropriate
Proven ability to implement and monitor Human Resource processes across multiple sites
Proven ability to manage difficult situations and resolve them with confidence
Experience of managing confidential information, and complex issues with diplomacy
Experience or knowledge of Redundancies, TUPE, Organisation Design and Recruitment is advantageous
Experience of working within a project management environment would be desirable, but not essential
Full and Valid UK drivers licence is essential, as is the ability to travel and work away from home on a regular basis. This role requires considerable travel/working away - please consider this carefully before making an application.
