Job Description
Manage and provide strategic direction to a team dedicated to achieving the development and delivery of an effective and high quality Human Resource service to internal and external customers
Support Service Managers in the delivery of key service specific initiatives identified within Service and Corporate Plans.
Take responsibility for ensuring consistent application of the businesses policies and procedures across all programmes across the Service.
Work towards achieving and maintaining good employee / employer relations.
Ensure compliance with the businesses Policy on Equal Opportunities, contributing to the formulation and development of diversity and equality policies and assisting on implementation within the Service in order to ensure the achievement and maintenance of the businesses objectives within the HR Strategy and service plan.
To manage the provision of a high quality HR service to managers within the Service and customers
Membership of CIPD with relevant post qualification experience of delivering HR services.
Proven substantial Human Resources experience with evidence of operating at a senior practitioner level, to include:
- Working with and advising senior managers on complex HR issues
- Dealing with complex employee relations issues
- Delivering a timely and excellent quality service
- Supervising staff
- Managing change, including leading on and advising senior managers on Action Plans/restructurings.
A Public sector client based in Birmingham
c.£28,000 pro rata
