My client is looking to recruit a Head of HR & Learning on a contract basis for 4-6 months. Within this role you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in order to develop and deliver the organisations HR strategy. Acting strategically across the business working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders you will ensure they receive a high quality HR & LD service that meets the overall business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
-Responsible for the development and review of the HR strategy ensuring it supports the achievement of the business objectives.
-Proactively planning new business and heading up HR change programme initiatives.
-Act as a change agent, identify, plan, design and implement process improvements to create a culture of feedback and service excellence.
-Provide advice and guidance to the SMT on up to date HR strategies and ensure the introduction and implementation of policies.
-Ensure key performance indicators are in place and monitor the continued effectiveness of the HR department.
-Responsible for the development and review of remuneration employment strategies to support the organisation now and for future business requirements.
-Responsible for ensuring effective performance management and development systems operate to increase the capacity of the workforce to deliver continually improving services.
-Ensure appropriate recruitment and selection strategy is in place.
Person Specification
-Fellow or Member of CIPD with a minimum of 5 years Senior HR management experience.
-Extensive knowledge of UK employment law including experience of TUPE.
-Track record in developing business based HR strategies and the ability to deliver this in an innovative environment
-Ability to challenge current practices and thinking and to provide alternative solutions.
-Strong leadership skills which generate understanding, motivation and commitment from individuals and the team.
-Ability to develop and implement policies that will support both the HR and Business strategies.
-Track record of establishing a positive performance culture to improve standards and performance.
-Experience of leading organisational and culture change.
-Previous experience of working in an HR shared service.
