International food and retail group require a Group HRM to join their expanding business. Based in Cambridgeshire you will be expected to travel to sites in East Anglia and there will be an element of international travel (approx 15%). Working in a small HR team, reporting to the HR Director the role responsibilities include

• Establishing and managing an HR function for one part of their business working closely with the MD on HR projects. This will include working with the Board to scope and design tailored HR solutions to fit with business strategy, monitor HR systems and processes and recommending improvements, developing and implementing attraction and selection processes and providing day to day guidance to the line managers and employees.
• Developing Group HR activities in conjunction with the HR Director. Group activities will include enhancing talent planning processes, supporting development and implementation of changes to Organisational design and culture and to establish development programmes sourcing effective solutions.

This is an international business so you must be able to evidence international experience. Previous manufacturing exposure (ideally in a blue chip) is a pre-requisite and you must be able to demonstrate your ability to operate at both an operational and strategic level. Due to extensive growth the business lacks an established infrastructure so you must be content to work in this framework and happy operating autonomously in a commercial environment within a business focussed and pro-active HR function.
