Employee Relations Manager

My client is looking for an experience Employee Relations manager to work in a prestigious investment bank, based in the city of London.

My client is experiencing rapid expansion across the EMEA region and the successful candidate will play a fundamental role in this new venture of the business. So experience working the EMEA market is a requirement.

The ideal candidate will have had a financial or professional services background or experience in working for a blue chip company.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the relationship management for several business groups and countries across the EMEA region and provide HR consultancy to business heads as the key HR contact for that business
  • Provide support to and ensure that risks are managed by the EMEA businesses for employee relations issues including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and provide support to individuals and business managers to interpret ER policy
  • Work with the ER Executive to ensure ER requirements are met in annual risk management processes like legal obligations and annual contract and policy reviews for aligned countries
  • Keep EMEA and Global ER teams abreast of legislation changes including maintenance of EMEA legal advise on Sharepoint for aligned countries and maintain relationship with external lawyers for aligned EMEA jurisdictions
  • Lead the EMEA ER for the new country set ups, ensuring processes are in place to ensure efficiency and risk management of procedure
  • Work with the Global ER Staff Liaison contacts to establish and implement a global Staff Liaison Support function and ensuring the policy is up to dates and meets the requirements and is represented in the EMEA.
  • Raise the clients HR profile in the EMEA markets.
