Are you an experienced HR Consultant looking to obtain an interesting strategic assignment with the opportunity to lead, direct and motivate a team of HR professionals? If so then this could be the role for you.
This Local Authority is looking for an experienced Senior HR Professional to champion the provision of a high quality specialist HR Function. As an effective member of the Senior Management Team you will ensure that the council, members, senior managers and HR Colleagues have best practice advise on policies and procedures, (particularly Equality and Diversity) and you will lead on the design and on-going development of such employment policies, facilitating change where necessary.
You will also be required to lead on HR projects as directed including the management, development and implementation of the council's workforce strategy and you will represent the Council at meetings including Appeals, Court and Tribunal Hearings.
The successful candidate will be MCIPD qualified (or qualified by experience) with a proven track record of delivering an effective HR service within a large, unionised, multicultural society. You should also have an excellent understanding of good equality and diversity practices together with experience of facilitating
