A superb opportunity has arisen to work for this leading retail organisation in Nottingham, following the acquisition of another company they are looking to increase their HR team in this period of growth. The role will mainly focus on providing strong employee relations advice to line and store managers for stores around the UK and assisting with the discipline and grievance process. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in strategic ad-hoc projects in line with the business objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- To liaise within the company at all levels from store associate to Operations Director to ensure an effective and efficient HR service is provided.
- To manage all day-to-day operational HR queries including disciplinary & grievance, flexible working, individual redundancy, absence management and performance management etc.
- To coordinate and assist in the analysis of HR reports for their regions identifying key trends/areas for concern and providing commentary as necessary to the HR Manager
- To coordinate and facilitate training in employment law and policy and procedure to junior managers.
- To attend stores as required to provide support and guidance in HR-related areas and to follow through on key HR activity (e.g. attendance at a disciplinary hearing) Requirements:
- Previous proven Employee Relations advice to managers
- Good working knowledge of up to date Employment Law
- Experience of discipline & grievance policies & procedures
