Role: HR Advisor / HR Business Partner
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Location: Middlesex
The world's longest established aircraft organisation is looking for a HR Advisor to provide day to day HR generalist support to the business and to ensure best practice is done, whilst ensuring commercial decisions and actions are taken.
To work in partnership with Business Managers to align HR activity to business needs; to provide HR generalist support and advice to the business.
Role:
· Deliver a professional generalist support service to all areas of the business, ensuring compliance of employment legislation and promote good HR practice amongst the Business Managers.
· Provide advice and guidance to managers / employees on all HR policies, procedures and any other employment matter. Update Company policies when relevant, ensuring legal compliance
· Advise Business Managers on relevant developments in Employment Law specifically where this may impact on the business.
· Support managers in the execution of the performance management process and in particular to participate in disciplinary and grievance meetings.
· Support managers in relevant change management projects', ensuring a balance is achieved in respect of business needs as well legislative requirements.
· Coordinate the PSL with recruitment agencies, to provide an effective recruitment process, and develop strong relationships and obtain lowest costs with the suppliers. To include verbal placing of new vacancies and providing specific role and company information as agreed in a meeting / phone conversation with the recruiting manager. Source and agree new vendors with HR Manager.
· Determine with Line Manager the appropriate media for external advertisement of vacancies. Ensure standard adverts are complied with for all companies updating them for maximum impact and highest response. Possible use of Ad Agency if needed.
· Produce all correspondence regarding offer of employment / contract of employment / changes to employment contracts etc.
· Manage the probation appraisal process with the business manager.
· Manage the retirement process, sending retirement notification letters and organising the workshop day
· Manage the development and performance of the HR Assistant.
· Ensure compliance with the Baseline Standard security procedure
· Undertake other duties within HR department to ensure both internal and external customer requirements are met.
You
You will have a HR generalist background in Aerospace / Engineering industry. Proven expertise of evaluating business needs, and adding value to the business.
Experience in handling range of employee relation issues and providing advice on a broad range of HR policies and procedures and proven client relationship building skills is also required.
