As an HR Advisor, you will provide a high quality, commercial HR generalist service, which supports the attraction, development and retention of talent within a leading solutions media organisation. This role will be involved in project work on confidential departmental projects or initiatives from time to time. The role is a generalist role but there is a strong emphasis on employee relations so professionals must be very strong on employee relations. As an HR Advisor, you will also be involved in departmental initiatives as part of the HR plan aimed at achieving best practice and enhancing departmental or organisational effectiveness.
Key Areas for the HR Advisor
§Actively work to enhance individual and departmental effectiveness through HR interventions – proactive and reactive – which focus on addressing obstacles to effectiveness
•Working within broader organisational change and restructuring processes, provide advice and support to managers and staff in order to maximise the effectiveness of the change and mitigate adverse employee relations
§Management of grievance and disciplinary hearings including those within a unionised environment
§Proactively managing absence cases
§Conducting redundancy consultations and associated interventions
§Provision of management statistics and information (metrics)
§Provision of sound, commercial HR advice and interventions to managers and staff
§Actively work to enhance individual and departmental performance through a variety of initiatives – both proactive and reactive
§Develop, motivate and coach designated team members
