HR Business Partner
We are currently working with a globally successful market leader in the design and manufacturing sector. Our clients are looking to recruit an HR Business Partner to support the European HR Director.
Candidates must have the CIPD qualification and ideally will be degree educated. You will need to have worked within an HR role for enough time to have proved your skills but knowledge and qualifications are key to this client and they would like to have someone with the educational background and a thirst to prove themselves within the work place.
Daily duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
Control of attendance providing facts and stats and proposed actions to target short term persistent absence
Managing the appraisal process and provide a proactive training strategy for the management team at Andover
Auditing management of blue collar workers (for example the induction process for shop floor, the us e of the absence procedure etc)
Taking an active part in the Health and Safety of the employees on site.
Providing timely statistics to support the management team.
Monitoring the overall wellbeing and morale of the workforce, using questionnaires and 1 to 1 interviews at all levels within the business and to propose improvement strategies
Interfacing with temp agencies and set up more stringent service agreements and KPI
Taking a more active part in recruitment and to dovetail this activity with the appraisal of our existing workforce (a divestment strategy)
Developing the sports and social club activity
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy, demanding environment and who is able to organise their own workload and operate independently without too much guidance. You must have a good sense of humour and enjoy the people side of the role as you will be expected to liaise with staff at all levels. about all kinds of issues. A flexible approach to your working hours is important as you may occasionally be asked to work late although this will be rewarded with flexibility when you need it too. A good level of competence in using excel and power point is another essential requirement , as is your ability to prioritise and stay calm and approachable under pressure. Ideally you will have some experience in staff training and you must have up to date working knowledge of current legislation.
