J1068 - HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER Salary £50-60,000 + generous benefits Based Southampton Our client is part of a major corporate seeking to boost the strength of their HR leadership with a new HR Business Partner for one of its sites based near Southampton. This site is a large, unionised manufacturing facility employing c. 1000 people. This is a standalone' HR position working as part of the site Senior Management Team but having access to a large internal HR network and with a functional reporting line to the Divisional Head of HR based in the US. The organisation continues to undergo considerable change to meet the demands of its customers and the marketplace and is in a strong position for growth, having recently won a major contract. We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious HR Business Partner with real gravitas, dedicated to raising the profile of HR in this part if the business and building its effectiveness in the organisation. Some of the key challenges and priorities of the role will be: Culture change - making the site more 'corporate' and generally professionalizing it Working with the site MD (a strong advocate of quality HR) to develop the skills and attitude of the some of the SMT Building relationships, creating trust, providing HR leadership and a modern HR approach on all aspects of change as well as support to the SMT on day to day HR activity An ability to develop positive shop floor and union relations to create an engaged workforce receptive to change The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: A depth and breadth of HR experience gained in a demanding corporate environment Ideally a Graduate who is CIPD qualified Considerable change management experience gained within a unionised environment and working closely with unions to achieve this. Experience of a complex, matrix-structured organisation would also be particularly useful. A proven ability to challenge behaviours and achieve lasting cultural change Resilience and tenacity Self assured and mature enough to work in a standalone role Experience of working as part of SMT making commercial as well as HR decisions
