Aspiring HR Business Partner required for a major international engineering group who command a world leading position in it’s specialized business areas. My client has manufacturing operations in the UK, Czech Republic, Holland and Italy and employ 2,500 people worldwide. This is an excellent for someone maybe working at HR Manager level to move up to a business Partner role where there is scope to put your own mark on the role and develop rapidly within this organisation. Working alongside the newly appointed HRD you will be responsible for HR issues across the board including recruitment using best practice techniques, provide advice and guidance on site to all managers on grievance and disciplinary issues, support training and development and identify needs, advising on ER issues and support the consultation process. The maintenance and administration of reward and recognition policies and practice to ensure the business attracts, retains and motivates the best people it can afford. You will advise on performance management and implementation of HR related legislation and regulations to ensure that the business is compliant and look at the organisation structure and job design to enable the business to adapt to changing needs and contribute to HR projects as and when they arise. The other key part of the role is to ensure that the HR admin team have clear and defined roles, personal objectives and PDP’s to ensure their development. Relationship building with all manufacturing management and employees is key to the role as is dealing with union representatives and external resources e.g recruitment agencies. You will support other functions within the business such as Payroll and occupational health and hold daily meetings with the HR team and HRD. Influencing skills are vital to this role and excellent interpersonal skills along with a resilient and tenacious personality to be able to operate in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience of a similar environment is essential and the role will be site based.
