This diverse and challenging new role, based in the South West, has arisen within the distribution side of my client's business (a well known commercial company and household name.)
Reporting to the regional HR Manager you will offer a full generalist coverage to two sites in the area, managing recruitment, culture change initiatives, aspects of compensation and benefits (such as pay reviews) as well as employee relations. Your role will be advisory, influencing managers and senior figures within the business to ensure they understand fully the HR position on all aspects of the day to day running of the sites. You will be actively involved with working with third parties to ensure standards are maintained.
Key to your success will be:
- ability to influence key stakeholders
- strong understanding of employee relations issues/employment law (preferably within a unionised environment)
- ability to make well-based decisions quickly
- adaptability and a willingness to get involved with a wide variety of HR-specific projects as befits an ever-adapting commercial environment
