HR MANAGER, HR BUSINESS PARTNER, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER, PERSONNEL MANAGER LOCATION: Doncaster, Sheffield, Scunthorpe, Wakefield SALARY AND BENEFITS: £30,000 plus car (fully expensed) COMPANY INFORMATION: Due to recent successful takeover of this successful family business our client is looking for a strong experienced HR Manger to run the HR department at this manufacturing company. The organisation is strong on quality, accreditations and procedures and they will be looking for an HR Manager who will take an interest in the business and be prepared to add value through HR to assist in a successful future of this company that is about to undergo considerable growth and change. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - CIPD qualified - At least worked at HR Manager level for 3 years managing an HR Department - Experience in manufacturing, or worked in a quality driven environment - Strong on day-to-day HR policy and procedure and ER - Capable of strategic HR - being able to prove where you have added value to a business - An HR Manager who is capable of working in a stand alone role, self motivated, driven, enjoys a busy environment, - capable of doing what it takes and mucking in if required. - Excellent team player, good sense of humour, strong personality and confidence, capable of doing stand up presentations - An HR Manager who enjoys getting to know the business and is involved in decisions and has true understanding - A hands on HR Manager who will go the extra mile - An HR Manager who has strong attention to detail and who likes to finish a task to the highest standards - IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - HR Manager experience at this level for 3 years - Previous HR Management experience in manufacturing or industry- ROLE INFORMATION: -The role - HR Manager - £30,000 plus car (there will be some travel to sites as and when necessary) Could be the odd night overstay because it is likely to do more than one site at a time and stay over (possibly one night per week or fortnight) This is a good time to join this company as they are about to embark on a lot of change. Recently taken-over by a German Company and the plan is to bring the 2 businesses together and the they are looking at achieving this for Jan 2009. They have got Investors in People (IIP), and are ISO 9000 / 2000 accredited and are looking for someone to maintain the Investors In People as the company grows and undergoes the change. They see the role as strategic HR and our client is happy to let the right person put their own stamp on the role and develop it as they see fit. The MD is busy and wants this role to be totally stand alone and will expect the successful candidate to work closely with the H & S Manager and be proactive, take the initiative and motivate themselves to add value to the business. Obviously it is a smallish business and everyone at Manager level is used to wearing more than one hat and this person will have to ‘muck in' . The culture is very relaxed, friendly, everyone has a good sense of humour and enjoy a laugh and banter at work. However, they are also driven to get on with the role at hand and do what it takes to get the job done. Training of staff is a big part of the business, employees are often attending courses up-skilling and the business is driven by quality and standards. They will expect this person to be capable of identification of training needs of staff and to put together a training plan everyone can work from. They will have some involvement on managing the Training budget. The role will involve responsibility for all Employee Relations, inductions, appraisals, recruitment, disciplinaries/griev, offering employment advice to all staff, working closely with H+S Manager. Recruitment - could be looking at bringing psychometric tests back - looking at people/staff attitude towards risk etc Type of Person Needs to be open, friendly, chatty in a good way, outgoing, interested in the business and in the company, strong team player, but capable of working alone and adding value to the business, needs to be a people's person, likeable and approachable, good sense of humour, not someone to sit in their office all day, but walking about talking to staff.
