Duties and responsibilities include:
•Support the effective and efficient operation of HR recruitment processes including personal
•Manage attendance supported by the Shared Services team, including provision of welfare advice and support (as appropriate) for long term absentees or employees with specific problems.
•Conduct exit interviews with leavers who resign from their employment.. Monitor labour turnover, contributory reasons, and recommend methods for improvement.
•Support managers in the effective handling of employee relations matters, including
•resolution of disputes, performance problems, investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and appeals.
•Liaise with local trade union and employee representatives, as appropriate, on local issues.
•Provide professional advice and guidance to Senior Management, Line Managers, and
•employees, regarding all personnel matters including terms and conditions of employment, and policies and procedures.
•Participate in one-to-one coaching and support of line managers in relation to HR procedures, but in particular for recruitment, induction, performance monitoring and performance appraisals.
•Monitor and pursue progress of personnel procedures and practices within the Business.
•Support the effective and efficient use of the Group “Shared Service” by ensuring communication, co-operation and compliance with all administrative procedures and processes.
•Undertake projects as required to meet current issues and development needs of the business.
Skills and experience required:
•CIPD qualified (non negotiable)
•Strong generalist HR experience
•Excellent interpersonal skills
