Job Description

HR Advisor

 

To provide a professional outsourced HR service to a range of clients across varied industry sectors, including provision of HR advice to managers and to prepare and implement varied employment policies and procedures.

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

- Effectively manage a portfolio of clients with Managing Partner, advising on HR related issues.

- Create and maintain an efficient HR support structure for clients including employee files, headcount and salary data, holiday/sickness reporting and appraisal structures if required.

- Carry out immigration and reference checks for clients as required, ensuring that all new staff satisfy current legal requirements.

- Assist clients in recruitment and selection processes providing interview guidelines and techniques, providing coaching as required.

- Assist clients with developing effective induction processes for new employees.

- Provide advice on HR related issued including disciplinary and grievance matters, business reorganisations, maternity/paternity queries and sickness absence.

- Draft associated documentation, as required, in conjunction with Managing Partner.

- Prepare and maintain employment contracts, policies and procedures ensuring that they are legally up-to-date.  Refer to Managing Partner as necessary.

- Keep up-to-date with employment law.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

- Confidence and presence to liaise with all levels of management effectively.

- Strong inter-personal skills.

- Excellent organisational skill.

 

- Good knowledge of Microsoft IT packages

- Basic understanding of UK employment law

- Previous HR generalist experience within a similar role

- Proven experience of working independently

- A UK employment law background

 

- CIPD or equivalent

 

- Attention to detail

- Team player

- Proactive

- Confident

- Ability to work to deadlines in calm manner
