My client based in Berkshire is looking to recruit a HR Officer to contribute to the development and delivery of a complete HR service for the Division in order to support the Division's operational effectiveness and the achievement of the Division's objectives. Key Responsibilities: To provide consistently sound advice and support to managers on all aspects of staff management To keep managers up-to-date on the Human Resources procedures and relevant employment legislation To work with managers on the effective management and control of their staffing establishment, advising them on the planning and implementation of any changes To contribute to the fair and effective operation of the organisation's systems for pay and terms and conditions, including the national Agenda for Change, through: Identifying any pay and terms and conditions anomalies, designing and developing solutions and, depending on the nature and scope of the anomaly, leading on implementation Contributing to the assessment of the impact of the systems for pay and terms and conditions, identifying the need for any developments that minimise current or future risks to the recruitment, retention and performance of staff and contributing to the planning and introduction of agreed developments To provide advice and support to managers to help ensure the effective, efficient and fair recruitment and selection of staff in accordance with employment law and policy and procedures To provide advice to managers on management approaches that facilitates the effective performance and good conduct of staff. To provide advice and support on how to effectively resolve any identified performance and conduct issues in accordance with Human Resources procedures and employment law To work with managers on the planning and implementation of organisational changes. To provide advice and support to managers on both the people aspects and the employment law aspects of any change in order to minimise the risks to good employee relations, staff retention and individual and team performance The ideal candidate will be CPP qualified or studying CIPD and have experience sufficient to provide advice and support to managers and staff on all routine aspects of the role (including, recruitment, induction, performance, conduct, employment law and HR procedures) without day-to-day supervision or direction.
