Job Title: HR Advisor – Employer of Choice
Location: Bristol

The Background
With an excellent reputation for being an employer of choice, offering employees a progressive working environment with excellent career and personal development opportunities this organisation is are now recruiting a HR Advisor to join a small HR team and assist to provide an operational HR service that leads to increased levels of performance, commitment and morale.
The Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the HR Manager the role provides a business focused HR service to employees based over 3 sites in Bristol / South West area. The key areas of responsibility include;
1. Recruitment and Selection – managing an outsourced recruitment process in order to attract a highly skilled workforce; final selection interviews and induction. To include establishing links with appropriate suppliers for apprenticeships, placement schemes etc
2. Managing induction and exit processes, including liaison with other involved parties (Payroll Manager, IT, Security etc).
3. Training & Development – management of the design and delivery of training initiatives including technical training, management training/development, induction, career development and succession planning.
4. Employee Relations - performance management issues; appraisal system development; Staff Opinion Surveys; other programmes to assist with process improvement, retention and motivation.
5. Maintain company personnel records (staff files, EMdb records, intranet, server data etc) and provision of monthly reports based on them.
The Person
Ideally of graduate calibre, with proven experience of working within a generalist HR role ideally gained within a small, technical organisation.
With a commercially focused approach you will have generalist HR experience and be a motivated candidate who can take the initiative and suggest improvements whilst also managing the day to day operational aspects of the role. An effective communicator who can quickly gain credibility at all levels you will be ambitious and seeking a role within this professional organisation.
