Job Description

My client is undergoing a period of significant change and requires a part-time Interim HR Officer for an initial 3 month period. As the Interim HR Officer, you will support managers during the restructuring of a particular operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide advice and support to managers and staff throughout the consultation process.
  • Attend Union meetings and take notes as required.
  • Assist managers in the selection of staff for new positions/for redundancy.
  • Draft compromise agreements for redundant staff, and liaise with our lawyers on the completion of these.
  • Instruct payroll on leaving dates and all payments to be made including pay in lieu of notice, outstanding holiday, statutory redundancy and enhanced redundancy.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate member of the CIPD, have a sound knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation and best practice. Experience within the public sector is essential to be considered.

This opportunity is provided on a part-time basis working 20 hours p/week
