My client is a pioneering developer and supplier of technology to a range of clients including both private and public sector organisations ranging from SMEs to large blue chip businesses.
As part of a larger group this highly commercial business has an international presence with a clear strategy for growth and development in terms of its product and client base.
The Role
This is a position with lots of opportunity and development possibilities for the right person. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, carrying out a true generalist role with sole responsibility for your region, you will be involved in a wide variety of activities on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out recruitment and selection for a wide range of skill sets, including generic support staff roles along with highly specialist technical positions. This will involve the design and implementation of an appropriate attraction strategy for the hard to fill roles. You will liaise with external agencies, carry out first stage interviews and carrying out testing where appropriate.
* Focusing on retention of talent by ensuring training needs are met and the company's benefits structure remains competitive
* Coaching and advising area managers through employee relations issues including disciplinaries and grievances, from shop floor to management level
* Implementation of the training and development programme including performance reviews and sourcing of external training where appropriate
* Ad-hoc project work, ensuring there is an appropriate business case and that the commercial value is clear to senior management
The Person
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience within a generalist role, ideally gained within a highly commercial and targeted environment
* Have previous experience of recruiting specialist roles from inception to completion
* Have excellent communication and numerical skills
* Be able to persuade and influence others and develop strong relationships within the business
* Be strong minded and thrive in a task orientated, challenging business
* Be CIPD qualified
Levels A and B testing would be advantageous however the business may support you through this.
