Job Description
Graduate Recruitment Assistant - 3 days a week - Ideal for CIPD student £27k
Key Relationships:
- Members of the Graduate Recruitment team and the Graduate Recruitment Partner
- Fee-earners, partners and trainees involved in interviewing and other recruitment activities
- Prospective and future trainees
- Members of the wider HR department
Pre-selection & candidate enquiries
- Pre-selection of training contract & vacation placement candidates against set criteria
- Liaison with internal / referred applicants including paralegals
- Logging and responding to all on-line candidate queries
- Answer ad hoc recruitment queries from anyone within the business and advise on best practice in recruitment
Interviews
- Co-ordinate the interview diary, liaising with interviewers and PAs to obtain availability during interview season
- Book candidates in for interviews on-line or by telephone
- Host candidate interview waiting room, welcoming candidates, briefing them on assessment day activities, and administering the case study exercise briefing
- Assist GRM in monitoring the receipt of candidate reports from interview panel, reviewing interview recommendations and liaising with the GR Partner regarding offer decisions
- Production and issue of various recruitment correspondence via email and letter
- Organise telephone feedback slots for unsuccessful interview candidates and deliver feedback
- Update key recruitment spreadsheets and other documents throughout the year
- Produce recruitment and interviewer statistics at the end of each interview season
Website & Market Research
- Maintaining content on the firm's Graduate Recruitment website on a regular basis, ensuring that this is kept to up-to-date and accurate at all times (This is managed through a specifically-designed Content Management System)
- Team expert for our on-line recruitment system, providing training for new joiners and assistance to all team members with queries as well as referring technical queries to our supplier
- Design, distribution and analysis of on-line surveys for candidates and event attendees using existing web-based survey products
Events
- Represent the firm on campus, e.g. attending Law Fairs and events across UK and London evening presentations. These events are most likely to take part in the Autumn and Spring terms but flexibility will be required
- Assistance on in-house Open Days and Vacation Programme induction and social events
