Job Description

HR Officer

My client, a world famous international humanitarian charity based in the City, are currently recruiting a HR Officer.

The HR Officer role is a new role with a UK and International HR remit. As the HR Officer you will be responsible for providing a professional, cost effective, customer focused HR generalist service to UK Office Divisions and internationally.

Duties for the HR Officer include:
- Deliver a professional, effective HR consultancy service to UK Office Divisions in the following areas: Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Employment Law, Employee Relations, Organisational Restructuring and Change Management
- Review the service on a continuing basis, ensuring legal/statutory compliance and adherence to best practice/best value
- Manage and develop the HR Assistant, other admin staff and occasional volunteers
- Liaise with the Learning and Development team and other Divisional staff on staff/delegate induction, training and development issues
- Attend internal/external meetings and HR forums
- Provide management information as requested
- Participate in business continuity planning arrangements

As the HR Officer you will be CIPD qualified and educated to degree level or equivalent, have generalist HR experience, have excellent IT skills, be flexible and able to meet deadlines.

The role of the HR Office will include work and travel throughout the UK including occasional weekend/overnight stays. There will also be occasional international travel.
