Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium.
A new position of Training Facilitator is being introduced to support the Line Managers in effective training and competency assessments in plant areas.
This role, as part of the departmental management team, will be critically important in ensuring the manufacturing and engineering teams are demonstrably competent. This will allow the company to operate effectively and consistently in order to meet departmental and business objectives.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and managing the department training plan and for producing information manuals. You will plan, deliver and coordinate training and formally assess competences whilst highlighting any performance issues. In this varied role, you will also be expected to ensure training processes are effectively monitored and managed.
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in a similar industry with experience of plant or the ability to quickly understand plant processes. You must be an effective organiser with strong influencing skills and a good understanding of health and safety. Communication skills are also important along with good IT skills and a willingness to undertake additional training. It is expected that the successful candidate will partake in the necessary training to become an accredited Trainer / Assessor.
Located in Teeside, this role is commutable from areas such as Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar, Durham and Darlington.
