HR Manager – Part Time Huntingdon Basic Salary £45 to £50,000 Pro Rata
+ Excellent benefits and share options.
High growth technology business is seeking to appoint their first HR professional on a part-time basis. The role will be 3 days per week, and can be spread into full days or part days – totally open. It is hoped that as the company grows there could be the scope to increase the hours.
Looking after a population of 70 staff, the role reports directly to the Chief Executive, and is a stand alone HR post.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up and provide a human resources function to span the full employment cycle, that meets the business needs ensuring compliance with corporate and legislative directives. Focusing mainly on the UK, but with limited responsibility for the US.
• Promote HR best practice throughout the organisation, proactively influencing peers and senior management to support HR policies, programs and initiatives without stifling the growth and innovation on which the company thrives.
Experience Required:
• Managerial experience in a growing fast moving hi-tech environment, including budgetary responsibilities.
• Experience in staffing, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development.
• Experience of setting up an HR function for a growing hi-tech business highly desirable
• Ability to develop and implement strategy.
• An understanding of the US employment arena, including terms and conditions would be desirable.
• Degree or equivalent
• Member of the Chartered Institute of People and Development desirable.
