Hudson are currently recruiting for a law firm based in Manchester. This position is a Head of HR role to support the partners in all areas of HR and employment law.
The ideal candidate will hold a senior post within a law firm and have experience in all areas of a generalist position.
Duties and responsibilities include:
•To ensure the provision of an effective and cost efficient HR service, in accordance with the policies and practices agreed with the Partnership.
•Ensuring the promotion of best practice, compliance with legal responsibilities and achievement of required standards across the firm's three offices.
•The Head of HR will be required to participate in Strategic Planning and Development issues, giving particular emphasis to Human Resources issues such including:
1.Training & development,
2.Manpower resourcing and planning,
3.Internal communications
4.Improved employee relations.
Skills and experience required:
•Previous experience at a senior level in a law firm dealing with partners at all levels and all HR areas of work including employee relations, resourcing and development.
•Good people management skills as required to manage two team members remotely. There are 4 team members in total. Must be a good team player and communicator with partners and the management team, plus able to delegate appropriately to the HR team, manage their own time and self-motivate
•Degree level with IPD qualification.
